CD Reviews

  • “Strong and majestic while expressing respect and gratitude, [The Willing] is an epic work... A wide array of emotions - from delicate grace to power and excitement - are expressed in [Southwest Memories], telling many stories in its 8 1/2 minutes... The piano solos are, of course, my favorites on the album. The beautiful and melodic Presence and From This Day Forward were composed for weddings and both express joy, happiness and love... Southwest Memories and Other Music By Carl Schroeder is...music you can really sink your teeth into and you will hear something new each time you listen to it.”

CD Reviews

  • "...with a bunch of recognition already under his young belt, [Schroeder is] more impressionistic than George Winston... not jive cocktail and just plain good... [88 Keys is] warm, up close and personal... This is a cat to watch for."

Chris Spector, Midwest Record Recap, August 21, 2006

  • "Schroeder is a young artist with a unique vision and voice... an accomplished pianist who obviously feels very much at home with the instrument. [88 Keys ranges] from smoothly melodic to more experimental... Very highly recommended!"
