CARL SCHROEDER – WRITER AND EDITOR


    Carl Schroeder of Minneapolis, Minnesota is a writer and editor specializing in music and the arts. He is a full-time staff writer for the Minnesota Orchestra. As a freelance writer, he has written articles for St. Olaf Magazine, the quarterly alumni publication of St. Olaf College, and for the St. Olaf College website. Schroeder is the founding editor of Nova Notes, a quarterly contemporary music newsletter, and has been a writer for both the Manitou Messenger and the Star Tribune’s Minnesota Youth News program. With a bachelor of music degree in theory and composition, he brings a creative, insider’s perspective to arts writing while maintaining a part-time career as a composer.
