MAGNIFICENT DESOLATION

(2016) Commissioned to honor the 75th anniversary of Southwest High School in Minneapolis, Southwest Memories is an eight-minute series of interconnected musical episodes that represent fleeting nostalgic thoughts as one looks back on favorite high school memories. |

SPIN
(2018, published 2020) This exciting work, published by C. Alan Publications, is dedicated to the composer's music teachers Timothy Mahr, Peter Hamlin, Keith Liuzzi and Jeffrey Ruhnke, and reflects on childhood biking trips near Lanesboro, Minnesota, with music that represents a mile-long bike ride at a rapid pace. |

DECEMBER CAROLS
(2013) Adapted for band from the original choral version, these two holiday-themed pieces were commissioned by the City of Lakes Community Band and Ann M. Verme in memory of Carol Voight. The movements, titled Snowflake Song and Wisdom, summon images of a gentle snowfall and the travels of the Three Wise Men. |

(2002) This dramatic and unpredictable work is built on contrasts and sudden shifts of mood and tempo, alternating serene calm with musical representations of a thunderstorm. |
